I have 2 dummy bodies, basically weighted cylinders to use in firing tests. I have a couple of examples of the projectiles. When I was working at Norris industries we were making small lots of the projectiles for firing tests. It is very hard to make the projectile bodies because the walls are so thin and therefore very hard to iron and then machine so they stay concentric and round.
The 8 inch was discontinued before it could be perfected, and then they phased the 8 inch howitzer out all together. They used a standard M509 projectile for the SADARM carrier.
