I have two WW2 practice smoke bombs (11.5 lb), both of which have a similar tag attached (same wording as your tags). The tags were affixed to the safety pin that secured the impact / nose tip for transportation. Like the safety pin (pull pin) on a grenade.
The ones I have are painted steel tags, not stamped brass. My immediate thoughts are that yours may be reproductions?
...I hope I'm wrong about that!

Thanks Hangarman, I've seen those A2 tags and thought they might be reproductions of a real item. I'm posting the question for a gent who has been carrying a tag like this on his key ring for about 50 years. He thinks he might have gotten it during Korea but doesn't remember exactly.
