SAM 7 Battery

Hi this is a thermal battery for an SA-7 or 18. It was sent to me today (thie picture that is) mis identified as a Yugoslavian AP Mine which is a common mistake with these. I will be adding some pictures of a SAM store in Bosnia soon if I can lift the photos off my other computer.

Here is a picture of a SA-7 showing the battery under the launcher tube.

The handle on the front of the battery is twisted to activate the battery.

Here are some photos taken in Bosnia in 2003 in a depot just outside Banja Luka. It was on a hill behind the brewery. A very big place you would never know it was there until you went into it. I remember the Bosnian soldiers being very helpful and polite.
