85 years ago, the Luftwaffe dropped the largest bomb of the Blitz on Hendon, North-West London, tragically killing over 75 residents.
But why here? Over the last eight decades various theories have been put forward, but now, for the first time, using archive documents, I have definitively identified the target that fateful night.
