Its shape reminds me of a Rapier or Blowpipe surface to air missile. What length and diameter was it?
The rear and main wing shapes are completley different though, but it could have been an early technology demonstrator.
I will dig out some more info and have a look.
The Cold War Museum at RAF Cosford is worth a visit, for early missile hardware (UK and German) in the old hangers, as well as the new hall with all the CW aircraft.
