Visited this museum last week and was amazed with the items on display! Armour, aircraft, artillery, small arms and everything in between! A vast collection of military related items with a focus on the technical aspects, rather than their history! My son and I were the only ones there which wasn’t surprising as it wasn’t easy to find and looked derelict from the outside!

Absolutely incredible photos! Thank you so much for sharing these. Such an amazing museum with so many off the charts specimens and exhibits. Love that so many were sectioned. I love ordnance museum photos, but the pictures are always so much better when taken by a collector and researcher like these.

Great photos, thanks. I have 2 questions, the second you may not be able to answer but that is OK.
1. Why was this museum put in Koblenz? Was Koblenz important during the Cold War?
2. Your post photos up to 5MB, and your photos have thumbnail preview function. When I do the same, mine lose preview function. Why?

Pete I was there I think 20 years ago and at the corner of the street there eas a bookshop they had only books about the two wars.
It was heaven.

It probably hasn’t changed much in that time. The amount of kit on display was astonishing!
