Items shown have been destroyed by EOD

Whats the story behind these. The tail fins look to be in good condition.

I guess that was you line of work, just wondering if this was found in this country or else where and how it was discovered.

I can't believe that they would destroy rare ordnance in such good condition could it not have been deactivated for collectors ,i'm almost crying writing this.

Unfortunately Daz wether an item is rare or not does not come into it ,if an item is considered a risk no matter how big it has to be destroyed,,,many items allthough externally look safe E.g rusty and seized solid are in fact mint condition inside,or you can have it the other way, corroded safety /firing mechanisms ,unstable aged explosives etc etc

I overheard a conversation at Leeds show about how a French chap had blown his arm off de-accing a shell!:S
