We recently had a week's holiday in Scotland. I saw this on Tobermory harbour wall. There used to be a similar thing, a bit slimmer and from WW1, on Hunstanton promenade, also used as a charity collection box.

This is my smaller version as the originals will not fit in the collection Room, i think there is one at Broadstairs harbor Kent,,,,,, Dave

Nice little item Dave, would be just right for me as a money box but surely you would need a real one for all your cash ;)
