Sea mine brass horn

These are not typical lead hertz horn.
I assume British made and used for example on MkXIV.
Is it correct ?

Auction gave as description for these two 'Two Second World War German Kriegsmarine ''Hertz'' Horns for a Mark 6 Floating Contact Mine, in brass and copper, with rubber washers, 13.5cm' (https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/...0316/lot-f4498902-3286-4074-91d0-a66d010d741c ). Can't find information to support this.

That's a very plausible candidate, as it used switch horns - not acid lead ("hertz") horns.

It's most certainly not Kriegsmarine ''Hertz'' Horns for a Mark 6 Floating Contact Mine as advertised (whatever that is...)

I ask details because this horn is described by a french collector as a Hertz Horn for M14 sea mine found in Noumea-Pacific (neutralized by US navy).



I assume these are British Mk14 (or similar)

They are WW1 British Brass hertz (acid) horns, they are not switch horns.
