Second 3 pounder Hotchkiss Drill round.

On 24 November 2022 I received a 3 pounder Hotchkiss Drill round dated 1903. I subsequently learned that there was a second similar drill. Almost like twins.

Today the second 3 pounder drill arrived. Stunning condition. With an earlier date on the projectile.

Headstamp: L (any ideas?)


Primer: R L 1


Projectile: R /I\ L (in oval) 1891 I*
