Hi .Haven't been posting much lately .
I thought I'd show a nice cutaway I did a couple of days back .
(1st time I've cut a larger round .)
I've been playing with the camera too.

Sectioned 1916 dated french 37mm.

Cheers .Darrol.

I done the same to a WW1 German Sockleflak round with a slitting saw so i have the 1/4 as well.

Sounds a nice bit of work . .any chance of a pic?.
I used a hacksaw . Didn't turn out to bad.
Cheers .

Thanks guys . Haven't done many sectioned stuff .this one had a rust pitted section that ruined the rest of the projectile .so I cut that piece out and then decided to do the rest .had a go at cutting a mills ..I think that was the most fun to do .

I used a old collapse mills spring which I heated further so it was fully compressed in position so it didn't spring back, with modern glues industrial type carefully glued in place, that strong it will take a he'll of a lot of force to move. Thinking about doing some S mines I have up for grabs on quick fire if they don't sell.

Quarter section of Smine.
