Hi all,
I did some archaeological survey on a UK training estate. I've encountered a lot of training ordnance in my surveys and would really appreciate some help identifying types. (I am looking up serial numbers etc. but a second opinion is very welcome!).
I've encountered several types of mortar, I'll post them all here. If anyone has advice on the national origin, age or use of these please let me know.
Type 1:

All white, perforated tail shaft.
Type 2:

White with grey tail (perforated tail shaft)
The tails were often found separately.
Type 3:
White, thinner design.
Tails/serial numbers:

The scale rod is in 10cm lengths; all photos are in situ (picking anything up was strictly verboten in my range briefing). Also please note these pictures were taken in the live firing area, I had range clearance to be there and a full safety briefing.
