writings on the edge of the cap top side in cyrilic are 'Art Teh Zavod Kragujevac' meaning 'Artillery Technical Institute Kragujevac'. M17/25 designates model of the bomb, 28/4 designates 1928 production year and 4 production series or LOT.
cross on cap is according to my findidngs added later as symbol for the weapon and amunition issued to chetnik batalions in serbian pre WWII army.

hi,
it is quite difficult to get any technical info on serbian pre WWII grenades so i can not provide anything useful except of some general data that i already quoted.
hopefully i will be able to access some archives in military historical institute in belgrade in next months and share some info here.

this is M12 grenade designed by general Miodrag Vasić and produced in VTZ Kragujevac. originally this one is filled with black powder, but later models are filled with 0.1kg of schniderit or amonal. total grenade weight was 0.8kg.
this grenade is used in balcan wars during 1912 and 1913, but is most famous as grenade which is thrown on archduke's Franz Ferdinand escort during his assassination in Sarajevo on 28 of July 1914.

thank you for your help and the valuable information that increases the information.

Nice grenade Al, I dont know why, but I love those small eggs. Nice M35 you have Erhard, not easy to find. I show you my "Yugo set". Al, you are an expert on this field, please if you can add some interesting info, do it. Also, although the info being not interesting, do it anyway. :tinysmile_hmm_t:
