Shell case id

I’ve recently acquired a 4.5” bore shell case but the base markings are crossed through as if it was incorrectly stamped. It’s 11” high
4 9/16” neck and 5 1/4” base and very heavy at 3.64kg. Any info would be great. Thanks, Lenny Small

I cannot match the dimensions to any 4.5" case in that length or rim diameter. We need a headstamp photo.
Your dimensions = 116 x 279R ? 133.4 rim. Too short for any British round . Sorry I cannot help.
