shell casing, possibly German

I just picked up this casing (powder case, whatever you want to call it) Rim diameter is 9.25 inches, inside diameter about 8.5 inches. Unfortunately the top has been belled out, but its a neat thing anyway. Not sure if its been cut off or not. Markings on the bottom are GFSP 62 APRL 1917 SP197.

Hopefully thats enough for someone to id it.

It is a April 1917 dated German case for the 21 cm Morser (Howitzer). In Europe a common case to find. GFSP should be related to Spandau (SP), SP197 is the army inspection mark.

The case looks to be the correct length (233mm). It's a shame it's been bell mouthed.
