Questions to all,

Was the amatol-filled 4.5 Inch shell being produced as late as 1944? The one I have has 1944 marked on it and I thought they were used until the late 1930s. It also has amatol marked on the green band but no mix ratio is present which is odd. Would it have used the percussion DA No.44 or the percussion No.106 fuzes as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated?
 
The fuzes used with this equipment are as follows:-

Percussion, No 101E, with No. 2 gaine.
Percussion, D.A., No.106, 106E, 117 and 119.
Percussion, D.A., No.44, utilised with smoke shell in conjunction with a No. 2 adapter.
Time, No. 183, for star shell.
Time and Percussion, No. 83, for smoke B.E. shell.

I can't help with production dates, but Hogg puts the out of service date as some time in 1944.
