Looks like a French

pnuematic bomb, has fins or a skirt if hand thrown, propeller type safety fuse. There are images around of these, somebody will have one.

Known to the British as Aasen Excelsior B. Formed part of an Ordnance Board/Committee trials programme in 1914/15. Did not get anywhere. In service with the French Army.

My pal had a relic one in his collection.
