Shrapnel Shell Identity Please

Hi, can someone identify this please? It was found on The Somme.

The approximate dimentions are: 83mm x 233mm. There are no visable markings unfortunately. Thank you.

Thank you for the quick reply but now I'm a bit confused! (very easy for me) I thought this was the 18pr? This was my research so most probably wrong!
Size is approx. 70mm x 230mm Would they both be British?

No....75mm French Shrapnel from the look of it
