I was in a discussion with another member earlier today, the subject was ammunition safety in fires and when in ammunition cans. I recommended the video from SAAMI: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2012/11/how-ammunition-reacts-in-a-fire-saami-video-report/. I also offerered to post some pictures of an ammo can I was given, from a fellow collector that had a fire in a shed he used to store assorted ammunition, powder and pyrotechnics. I was given the can more than a year later, corrosion didn't take long after the can was heated up. The latch was still closed, I pried it open. The lead is all in the bottom of the can.
