Small bombs container - Halifax bomber

Labman

Member
Hello all.
I am privileged to be working as a restorer on the Yorkshire Air Museum's Handley Page Halifax.
We have often to reverse engineer parts we need, and parts of parts we acquire.
My current task (one of them) is to restore a 'small bombs container' (illustration attached).
I need detailed drawings/pictures of the release mechanisms and compartment dividers, or a pointer to where I might be able to go to find an actual example to measure and photograph - does anyone have any ideas?

Hello Labman,
Got this pictures from BOCN a long time ago. A member of BOCN bought this somewhere and shared these pictures. Sorry, I don't know anymore who it was but maybe he will recognize this pictures and you can contact him.

Thanks Allan.
I just looked and he says much of his stuff is at the Wings Museum, which I visited last year, and in doing so probably saw the carrier at some point!
Anyway, am going to phone the museum, and will pursue him the the web address.
