Smz dm39

I have this -to me unknown- fuze marked SMZ DM39. I was told it is used on the DM31 bounding mine , but I have my doubts. It more looks like an AT mine fuze to me. Who can tell me what it is exactly and has a description of the fuze and a cutaway drawing. It is 460mm long.
Thanks in advance, regards, DJH

Hi, Pzgr40,

have a look on the US TM : TM | H-30-3-2 (FEDERAL REPUBLIC) LANDMINE FUZE, TILTROD, DM39A1 (U)

Badly, there is no indication of mine with which this igniter is used

Hello,
SMZ DM 39 - the correct name is SprengMittelZünder DM 39 its also extendable up to 80cm lenght.
So you are right, its not for the DM 31 bounding mine

As far as I know, it's for the DM11 and DM21 AT mines, used bottom up with the secondary fuze well.

Cheers,

S.

The SMZ DM 39 was or is not only for your mentioned ones, but also other "devices".

DJ This is used in "Sprengladungen" and also in peace time in the UbPZMi DM18 and in war time in PzMi DM11

Regards,

Chris

I cut mine. An interesting item.
