I don't see that this book is in this forum which is very surprising to me, because it is a fantastic reference on this subject. Author Anders Thygesen is a BOCN member. He and partner Michael Sode based this book on SOE and MD1-made items and ordnance dropped to agents in Denmark. If you ask Anders why this or that is not in the book, it is probably because there is no record of it being dropped there. He told me that once.

This Second Edition was published in 2023 and it is a large format, hard bound, almost what we call in the States a "coffee table" book. 295 pages which includes content not in the first edition. The book includes a reprinted wartime "Sabotage Pamphlet Mk II," the one that was printed in English and five European languages in one book, and included in supply drops. This is 55 pages and is in English.

This is a picture book and nearly all are color. It covers initiating and delay mechanisms, explosives, incendiaries, weapons, munitions, tools, containers, parachutes, communications equipment, plus a short background on SOE, and excellent wartime photos of containers full of gadgets captured during a particular Denmark operation in 1942, including lists of what was in each of the six containers! I assume the color pictures in this book are of items seen and handled at museums or contributed by collectors. Anders or Bonnex can answer that if they want. Bonnex helped edit the book and wrote an introduction.

Of particular interest to those of us who want to reproduce items for displays or living history events is most every caption includes item or packaging dimensions and weights.
