Hi Frank, Those mini-smokes are awesome. Great stuff. Am I correct in assuming that they are from the Vietnam War era?? Dano

Hello Dano,

Yes, the US XM Series Mini Smokes were designed circa late 1960's specifically for use in VN and manufactured thru the early 1970's. The CS Mini was a 1967 project of The US Limited War Laboratory tested in VN and not adopted.

Also Fake (Inert) XM166, 167, 168 & 169 Mini Smokes were manufactured in Asia a few years back (Photos attached), so beware that they are around and not original items when considering a potential purchase.

Stay safe,

Frank
