An early, most probably pre - 1970, .50 Browning Dummy made by Pretoria Metal Pressings, South Africa.
What I found strange about this round is that normally there would have been a date of manufacture and also that it is a dummy and not a drill.
Can only think that it was made solely for display purposes.
