Does anyone recommend any museums and places to visit in the Germany/Austria border areas?

If you are anywhere near Berchtesgaden it is well worth a visit but I always got the feeling that Austria don't like any mention of WWII.

The http://thirdreichruins.com/ website is very good for research of historical places that have had a previous history.

Nah. Our niece's husband (Austrian) reckons that they have convinced the world that Hitler was German and Beethoven was Viennese.
