Hi everyone , In spain the usual bring back souvineer is the donkey but in Malta
I visited a few years ago i came across these items in the market at Valletta a stall holder was selling these , 20mm cases dredged up from Grand harbour.
Ive sprayed them with Marine varnish to protect them.
Anyone else bought any unusual items back from their hols .

I have seen a "before and after" of a similar case from Malta on the net where someone has dissolved the barnacles and crap with acid. I'm not sure if it was vinegar or something stronger. The case came out looking almost as good as new at the end.

Hi Years ago a diving friend gave me some British 101 fuzes from the wreck of the Shirala , sunk in the first world war ,off the coast of Eastbourne these i cleaned with Diluted Sulphuric acid, they also came up looking as new, these cases im keeping as they are as they make great souvineers of a great holiday.
