Specialist Auctions Buyer - Beware

Hi H,
sorry to hear about that mate, you are not alone with being ignored by SA,I complained about the bidder I was having problems with and asked if they could remove their bid and didn't hear zip from them.
It's beginning to feel a bit like e-bay with their no seller protection to me!

Cheers
Tony

I have recently had a misuderstanding with SA where my account was temporarily suspended. Though I understand the importance of suspending my account during their investigations etc, I felt like I was treated as a criminal throughout with no updates to what was happening. After about two months, and many emails to SA from me, they have finally reenstated my account, though I am not sure whether I will get back into using their site again. Like Tony says, it seems to be getting like ebay at the moment, and that is deffinitely not what I am after.

Many notes of caution here to all sellers. Basically the world of on-line auctions is totally slanted to the buyer. I had a bad experience with PAYPAL (which I would now not touch with a bargepole as a seller). Basically I sold a high value item (a mobile phone) and the buyer claimed it hadn't arrived. I had a tracked proof of delivery (i.e proof it HAD arrived) but PAYPAL had refunded the money to the buyer as a result of the claim by the buyer. They can refund money to buyer but cannot then claim it back if the buyer is found to be in the wrong - its reliant on the buyer being honest to re-pay. I had all the evidence that the buyer had received the goods (according to PAYPALS own T&C's) but they were not interested - they wanted me to pay the money!!! Lesson learned here DO NOT sell anything of high value via auction website that you cant write off! I will never sell using PAYPAL again, and am happy to warn anyone who may be thinking of doing so!

Touch wood I have never had a problem with Pay-pal,but knowing that pay-pal and e-bay,who I had plenty of problems with, are the same company I can understand why you had problems with them.

Cheers for the words of support - as I said to the `member` in question in one email I am part of a small but far reaching community.
Nothing travels better than bad news & I hope no-one gets stiffed like me by this guy.
I agree with you all on the paypal thing it is very biased towards the buyer & after getting an email from them saying I can appeal if I go to resolution centre - the facility to do so is not available.
I fail to see how these people think they can be so clever over doing something so bloody annoying!
Again thanks guys.
