Spotted this unusual Russian Military Tripod - sale sticker stated "Anti-Tank Stand" ............obviously missing the best bit! :tinysmile_angry_t:

Any ideas on what it was used for etc?

Very uncommon/rare to see this type of Russian military item in Oz.

(The Label translated to "Available Numbers"

Would you believe I came across this stand again over the w/end - different town from last time...........I wonder if it was recently "abused" over in Europe????

looks like its made from wood,i would say its a movie prop

Interesting enough, the actual tripod base & legs are metal & well constructed (it's quite heavy).
Further, I was curious to see if it resembled any known "Russian anti-tank" missiles and surprisingly, the US BGM-71 TOW images popped up - which matches the tripod design and construction (early variant?)

It is quite possibly that the tripod has been re-purposed for a movie prop with the upper section cheaply fabricated. I wonder what happened to the rest of it?
