I have decided to get some Vietnam era grenades while still specializing in WW1 German grenades. Well my first one came today. I know, ho-hum but these m69's are getting hard to find, trust me on that........Dano

AAAaaaahhh,

Stay away from Vietnam War ordnance. You will spaz out, become shadow eyed while staying awake to find those VC & US Grenades that you must have. You will start going out and buying a bunch of books and DVD movies like "Go Tell The Spartans", "Firebase gloria", start recording on TVO, then you be studying ludes, Green uppers and dogy downers and Puppy uppers, then you'll get strung out out on Paxil, as she places one in your wine .

Stay with WWI, your blood pressure and your heart will be much more able to stand with WWI my friend!:tinysmile_eyebrow_t

Your friend until you try anything Vietnam wize.:tinysmile_cry_t2:

Hi Vinny, always a pleasure. By george I think we collect pretty much the same stuff. Maybe we should do a trade????????????...Dano

Dano, Mark is right but don't let that deter you.
Thats why it's collecting. If it was easy it'd be called shopping.

Dano, I'm glad you made the decision to add a Vietnam section to your collection. It's a very interesting era for grenade collecting, though it can be a surprisingly difficult task to obtain many types. The stuff's not really that old, relatively speaking, but it's tough to find nice items from this era and it can be seriously expensive, especially in an auction or other competitive situation. As long as you are prepared for this going in, you are much better off.

Just talk to as many people as possible - persist, and act fast if something pops up. Eventually you will end up with some nice items that would be great additions to any collection. Best of luck to you and I'm always happy to help you any way I can.

Justin

Also, I was thinking why is so diffcult to find VW grenades. From the Enemy side is easy to understand, but from the US... There were 10 years of war and when the USA retreat from the country I think they took the stuff back to the USA. And no more wars after until 15 years later, so where are the grenades? Are all them in the GTR003121 collection maybe?

Thats a fantastic M69 you have. One of your new buys you were waiting for?
I think sometimes it's good to branch off and have a little break from you're usual collection. Good luck and hope to see more pics of you new stock.

Xm69?

What about this one, did the practice grenades also come in green or is it just a practice fuze that has been inserted?
It looks crude compared to the ones you guys have posted. Could it be a copy? No text what so ever on it.

Anders,

Yours is most definatley a practice M69 version of the M69. What looks like happenend was somebody spray painted the grenade with the Spoon being left out. It is probably not an M69-67.

Mark my friend, Me thinks you need not worry about BOCN men taking offense as I think this is a tight knit bunch. Hell if anyone could be offended here I think I have already done it. Would like to get one of those "late 69s" maybe another trade? Right I could kick my own ass, I was bidding on a grenade (something I swore to myself i'd never do again), got in a war and unfortunately won. Oh hell at least it is a real good one (to me anyway). Anyway I think you know pretty much what I have up on the block so can we wheel/deal. Your posts to me are interesting and most definately colorful and welcome. Off to N/land now. BTW Mark, what about that m67 my friend? If it is a 67 I will make a trade you won't comprehend my friend.......Dano

Dano,

Yes you can have the other 67 if you want it. But with the two M69s which did you want, a better one that you all ready bought?

What is your trading material. Better be good my friend. Even better than what I paid for both if you want to know with all honesty as a Chritian?

You did get to see them didn't you?

Will be waiting for the deal of the century.

Do you happen to have a near perfect Rifle grenade of any kind would you?

Your best friend.
