The production of Stokes mortar rounds seems to be rarely mentioned, so here is a photo of 3" rounds being assembled, gauged and varnished in a Scottish (Falkirk) factory, and then packed for their journey to the filling station. The contract details stencilled on the boxes are TWSD Contract No.1570, so a contract placed with the Edinburgh Munitions Committee.

Wow look at the Edison swan light bulbs and wooden light fittings

If Edison & Swan light bulbs and fittings are your thing, there are plenty in the hand grenade final assembly and inspection area of the same factory. On this particular day TW Oval grenades were being packed.

My Father has all the fittings and the shades in his collection but not the original bulbs there are reproduction ones avaliable now.
The fittings are all carved from wood as non conductive.
