In 1950 a group of young Scottish nationalists broke into Westminster Abbey and took the sacred Scottish coronation seat, the Stone of Scone, back to Scotland https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1037156/. This UK-Canadian co-production is a very lively entertaining affair. They were eventually detained by the police and the Stone itself re-possessed. But none were charged with a crime and the Stone was "loaned" (driven back to Scotland) under a condition of "a loan until the next coronation". The Stone was last used during the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953 and must be used in the next coronation.
