Stoneleigh fair

There was a time when people showed items bought at fairs and shows on a regular basis, and like most people I enjoyed these posts.
I am going to all the shows I can this year and will put up pics of the show and any items I have found.
I got to Stoneleigh on Sunday about 10am. You can get in at 8am, but I wanted a relaxed look around, and as people have already sold bits to the trade on Saturday I don't expect any bargains.
I ended up spending 5 hours looking around and found some nice things for my collection. There where a few people selling ordnance and I think the prices were fair, nice to see Belgian Patrick and a few others from abroad.
Also nice to see some Bocn members and have a chat.
I only got a few pics at show, will add pics of bought items at the weekend.
Cheers Tig.

A few pics of bought items, Two 2 pdr practice rounds, both crimped but one case loose, will get a new case for it, the other tight in case but needs a little resto, still has its INERT coal dust filler. Stunning 3" Stokes practice mortar in original paint, I bought this at 3pm on the Sunday, unbelievable it was still there, impossible to find anywhere. Just need a HE with buff paint now! Hotchkiss 1 pdr, no band but don't think it had one, not fired. Cheap at 15 quid, and bought for a mate. Two 1.5" flare carts, bought from a Bocn member, nice and very cheap! Cheers Gary. I also bought an L series flare tin which I've misplaced.
Next show is Malvern in March can't wait. Cheers Tig.

Hi Graeme, yes this is American made, and I think supplied to the UK. It has a large fuse hole/socket. This I was told, was filled with sand which was removed to prove inert.
i have been after one of these for over 10 years, they are all rusty! cheers Tig.
