Sorry no idea & I thought my collection had most SAA covered!!
Looks very 7.92 but then again there are so many calibers that fit the Mauser clip that`s almost a dumb observation!!
If you have a spare I would like to buy/swap??
Apologies for not being of more help - at least you`ve got a response ;-)
Hi zwerge,
can you carefully ease the spring out, there could well be markings on the inside of the clip, not seen one of these before and have not found any reference in the books I have here
Hi,I took it apart and no marks at all,I tried a bunch of different rounds in it and found it would accept rimless rounds up to .495 without being forced, the two I have like that are,7.5x55 Swiss and 8x63 Swedish,so who knows?
Hi zwerge,
something in the old grey matter keeps making me want to hedge my bets on a WWI 7.65mm Turkish Mauser clip,I'm sure I have seen somewhere that Germany manufactured most of these clips for Turkey during WW1 and Germany did use brass for their own clips during this time.
More than likely totaly wrong, perhaps someone has a Turk clip and can say yes or no?
