I have recently bought an original box of American, made for the RAF, .303 cartridges for synchronised firing. The cartridge cases have all been fired and the bullets replaced - the replacement bullets don't look like .303s ( see picture). They are much shorter. Are they the original bullets that would have been in the cartridge cases? Are they special for synchronised firing? Or are they just replacements that someone has put in? Bullet is about 29mm.
Thanks
Roger
