Here is a developmental grenade from way back in the day (T46 frag grenade) ... images were taken at the Aberdeen Ordnance Museum.

Joe, out of curiousity what is the body of the grenade made of? Definately an interesting looking piece. I would also be interested in knowing the aprox. date of manufacture....Dano
 
Manufacturing Date according to museum paperwork: 1952 - 1953

Body is Steel

Measurements are:

Diameter: 88MM
Total Length with fuze: 155MM
Total Length without fuze: 114MM
