Has anybody ever come across this before "Tankard" 1946 experimental recoiless AT gun firing a 2pr littlejohn proj from a necked down 6pr case? The reason i ask is i have the paperwork here and have been offered the trials cases.

Sounds interesting.
Is it APDS (as in the title to the thread) or littlejohn (as in the text)?
Any photos?
Dave.

Hi Dave, i have had some time to read some of the paperwork now its an APDS round of 2" diameter using a core from the littlejohn round and a necked down 6pr case the ballistics report looks like it could knock a hole through 110mm of plate.
