Tea Pot?

Tea Pot trench art.jpg

Another interesting item I picked up the same day I got the coiled snake case. This looks like trench art, but it really is a manufactured piece. It is made to look like a WWI era 75mm Shrapnel round, but the entire pot is only 10 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The base, spout and "rotating band" are copper coated. The body and fuze are brass coated. The fuze has the rings and time markings of the M1909 PTTF and the projectile even has a embossed in set screw in the side to lock the fuze in place. The fuze is a tight force fit into the body. The only mark on the thing is the number "01063" stamped in the bottom. I couldn't resist it because I have not seen another one before.
