I was lucky enough to be able to buy this yesterday.

A 'Dummy for throwing practice' base plug by Seimens Bros & Co. Dated 1916.

Gibbons also made them and I have one that is not maker marked as well.

This example is drilled for the short post that allowed quick re-cocking of the striker.
