Tool or key for grenades?

The attached image is of a tool that came with a collection of WWI British and German grenades that had belonged to a Great War Bombing School instructor. Does anyone know what it was for? It is made of steel and is 1/8 inch (3mm) thick.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like some kind of fuze wrench/key.
I have one similar to yours in my collection.

Cheers,
Andy

Thanks for that. Do you by chance have an image of an unmodified C spanner, or can point me in the direction of one? And what is/was it used for?
