Fantastic information. Thanks for posting that insight.The gyro has parts which match that of the pattern running 53-30PM gyro. However the stamp 080 suggests and earlier weapon as 53-39 article number was 112. As the 53-38 article number was 100 it probably predates that. The picture is of a gyro from the later 53-56 also has similarities, but although it shows a number of manufacturing simplifications which probably reduced the number of man hours needed to produce it.
