Trench art shell case with steel base

Can anyone help with an id on the trench art shell case which has a steel base.
The brass case dia is 80mm, it has marks on the inside(see pic)on the base there are marks but I cannot make them out.

it is made from a german case. Were did you measure the diamter? It looks like from a 77x230R, but diameter should be 91 mm

I measured it at the top of the brass case, the steel base rim measures 90mm.

ok, than it was a 77x230R case for the Feldkanone 96 n/A or Feldkanone 16 and related guns. The cases with steel base were introduced to safe brass, there are also some other types of them and also complete iron cases had been (unsuccessfully) tested.
