Trench Clubs

Just had a thought Justin,

original trench clubs may be very hard to find, certainly to prove their provenance will be hard so i wonder if its worth you just going for a pretty good repro? At least you would know what it was, it wouldnt have cost you a lot and would be a talking point to anyone who viewed your collection.
i am thinking the same re my collection of WW2 Denison smocks. I cannot ever wear the originals for fear of damaging them so actually, what is it worth having them? I can and do wear the repros[no ime not a Walt, i did earn my wings], so ime sure i will be selling them soon.
Just a thought bud.

What or who is a 'Walt'?

Hi Andy,

Thats not a bad idea, as you say it wil be difficult to obtain one that you could ever be confidant about and there is nothing worse than having a item in your collection that you have doubts about!

ah my pet hate "walts" a walt is one of those prats that wears military kit insignia etc and hasnt even earned them...someone who pretends to be something they are not..the term walt comes from "walter mitty" see here [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Mitty"]Walter Mitty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Mittydvd.jpg" class="image"><img alt="Mittydvd.jpg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f0/Mittydvd.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@en/f/f0/Mittydvd.jpg[/ame]
