Tungsten carbide ap core - what is it?

Can anyone identify this? It's about 125mm long x 37mm dia. Trevor

Hi Trevor, its from a 17 pounder APDS.
See attached.
The engraving on the base varies from core to core.

Not modern?

Thanks Dave - I thought it may have been 105mm or 120mm, but now that I rack my brains I think they have a much mor rounded nose. Trevor
 
I have an identical one of these and i guess from the name on some of the pics it came from the same place. The Gower??

I used to run the tri annual clearance operation down there and we use to find loads of these.
