Golf clubs!

I've been after one for my William Mills collection for a while and then found two in a Golf Collectors shop in Truro.

The hickory shaft 'Medium Lie' fairway iron dates from about 1905 and was made in Mills Standard Works in Sunderland. The putter was made about 1920 and is one of the early iron shafted clubs. This was made in Birmingham, maybe in the ex grenade works.

Remember that Mills made golf clubs at his Standard Mills factory before he ever made a grenade. Interesting man.

Thanks Tom. I've also got some shooting sticks with Sunderland and Birminham Mills Munitions markings on them. I wonder how many went to the front with officers?
