Type 97

Can anyone tell me about this Type 97 grenade? The studs on the base are throwing me off.

Read something, somewhere, that the lugs prevented accidental use in grenade dischargers. Fuze delay times, etc, would result in big problem(s) for shooters thereof. B'ville, ogreve, somebody out there knows for sure.

I read that somewhere as well ... just trying to nail down if they gave the item a nomenclature, or if it was a common item.
