U-Boat Clock

This clock has never worked properly since the sixties, due to a repair (??).

It's been at the clocky type people for ages and they couldn't find out why it wouldn't work...

But finally the problem was solved.

A small pressure piece/part was of the wrong type and a replacement part was bought from Germany.

Apart from gaining a few minutes, it now works perfectly.

A lovely Kreigsmarine clock brought back to life.

Fourth picture is of a recent auction piece at Bonhams.

HI Skull181,

Very nice!

Funny enough at the last Sydney Gun show, one was on offer for around $1,500 AUD.............

Can't remember if it had the "M" under the Eagle or not but was in working condition.

As I love mechanism and clocks, probably should have pursed it!

Cheers
Drew
