Here are pics of an interesting training Ubung PanzerWurfmine grenade. This is the first one I have seen. It is missing the cloth "sails' that would have been attached.

Actually I don't think that is a panzerwurfmine at all, I think its the training version of the WWI Aasen grenade, which was Danish by manufacture but used by the Germans, I have attached a photo of the Aasen so you can compare.

OK, very interesting, I think you might be right. It was advertised and sold as a panzerwurfmine for almost $600. I hope the new owner does not read this. :bigsmile: It's still an interesting and probably rare piece though.

Aasen was a Norwegian. Is there any proof that the German ones used were made in Denmark?
