Undentified Item Possibly Land Mine Related?

Hi Guys, I git this the other day among other shell fuzes, all WW1 but it doesn't mean much. I have no idea what it is, maybe someone can help? It is made of brass and measures 9 x4 cm (the widest part). TIA.
