Unexploded bomb

Thursday Afternoon BEXHILL workman working on a building site in bexhill uncovered a German 50 Kg ? bomb which was high ordered in a controlled explosion on Friday.
There was television coverage on South east news yesterday,

I believe the Home Office have details online of all the known uxb's that have not been recovered in and around London so contractors can be made aware.

Yes if you follow that link but in search put "Unexploded Bombs"ll take you to the site of Where the UXB,s are in London , although how accurate these details are is questionable , i dont think the 1,000kg in the East End of London was on that list.

Yes indeed,cheers for the links.
The guy in the second link reckoned a Focke-Wolffe 190 may have dropped that 50 kilo?
I wouldnt have thought that a fighter-bomber would have travelled that far across the channel with a bomb strapped underneath?
Surely a Heinkel or other heavier bomber would have been responsible?

The foker wolf wasn`t around that early in the war 1941 ! it would have been more like a stuka or ju88 i would think, but there must have been something there to aim at !
