Unidentified 75mm HE projectile - any thoughts?

Please see the photos of an unidentified shell. 75mm calibre, 292mm long, 223mm above the drive band and fuze socket 33mm across (Internally). No cannelure ring & boat tailed below the drive band. Faint stampings but nothing that I can identify.

Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what this might be?

many thanks, DaveIMG_9877.jpegIMG_9878.jpegIMG_9879.jpegIMG_9880.jpeg

Hello,
Very close to French 75mm model 1917 (without gaine) but there are few differences :
No bourelet, different driving band, notches around the eye.
Sorry no more idea.

View attachment 210375that’s an excellent comparison MINENAZ16! Slight differences but probably just a different mark of the same shell. Well done & thank you, regards Dave

I think it's an exact M.1917 copy.

It definitely has a bourellet, but it's very hard to see because of the pitting from corrosion so it's only visible in the close-up photos.

Now, we in Romania also did an exact copy of the M.1917 using original French drawings, so all the dimensions were the same.
However, the markings on this one it don't look Romanian, because ours should be marked "5-21" ( 5 is the code for the projectile, 21 is the code for the gun) in 6mm letters just under the bourellet or above it on the ogive and then a three-letter code under the driving band denoting manufacturer ( "Astra", "Concordia", "Malaxa", "Resita", you name it - if they made ammunition during WW2 they probably made some) and a second line specifying lot, contract number and year.
